Arborist Consultations

Even trees need consultations. Thankfully, tree doctors, or arborists, are available in this day and age. They are certified professionals of trees. Arborists can consult us on how best to take care of our trees, ensuring the tree’s safety, health and preserving the tree’s lifeline.

An arborist’s focus is to maintain trees and shrubs by means of trimming and pruning. This is done to ensure that the trees do not obstruct or interfere with powerlines, roads, or walkways. They also focus on services that can increase or improve the tree’s appearance, value, and health.

Normally, who would need to consult an arborist? The target audience of clients of an arborist is insurance professionals, property owners (business/commercial), landscape architects, contractors, engineers, and potentially even a fellow arborist. Arborist consultations come in many different sessions. They can diagnose trees and advise on potential landscape problems. Besides this, they are also able to conduct tree risk assessments and surveys to identify damage to trees or potential risks it may face. Arborists also offer Insect and Disease Identification and Management, to follow up, they also hold Plant Health Care Programs and provide platforms for training and education in the field of arboriculture. Clearly, the list goes on and the consultation services they offer are not limited to those mentioned here.

As someone who does not have much knowledge of trees, should the need arise, I would ensure to have an engagement with an arborist for their consultation. For one, I would generally want to understand what I can better do to keep my trees healthy. With all that Mother Nature has given us, a simple act of kindness to her soldiers (trees) is the least we can do. Humans, animals, and trees alike. We are all living things and deserve to be cared for. I would want to know how I can nurse my tree back to health, or when it’s time to say goodbye and have it removed.
